To commemorate the Tenth Anniversary of 9/11, a highly distinguished cast of film, TV & stage actors will gather for a benefit stage reading of Sarah Tuft's 110 STORIES on September 8th & 9th at The Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, NYU in Manhattan.??The illustrious cast - Lauren Ambrose, Andre Braugher, Billy Crudup, Edie Falco, Melissa Leo, Aasif Mandvi, Chris Noth, Vincent Piazza, Andre Royo, Susan Sarandon, Stelio Savante, Pablo Schreiber, Gabourey Sidibe, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Michael Stuhlbarg, Kathleen Turner, Ben Vereen and Merritt Wever and others TBA - will share first person accounts of the tragedy.

Stage Left Theatre Presents Chicago Premiere of FARRAGUT NORTH, Opens 9/3

Stage Left Theatre announces the upcoming Chicago Premiere of Farragut North written by Beau Willimon and directed by Artistic Director Vance Smith. Farragut North is the first production of Stage Left's 30th season. Press opening is Thursday, September 7th at 8 PM, and the show runs through October 9th.

STAGE TUBE: First Look at IDES OF MARCH Film!

George Clooney's upcoming film adaptation of the off-Broadway play Farragut North, entitled Ides of March, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood will open the Venice Film Festival on August 31. Film and stage star Jason Patric has signed on to star as 'Christian Walker' in the FX drama series pilot Powers, based on the award-winning comic and graphic novel series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.

Jason Patric Signs on For FX's POWERS Pilot

According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Jason Patric is set to star in FX's new pilot, 'Powers.' The series is based on a graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, and will be directed by Michael Dinner. Filming will begin in Chicago later this summer.

Chris Noth Teams Up with Novo Nordisk for Diabetes Detection

Actor Chris Noth and Novo Nordisk, a world leader in diabetes care, have teamed up in a national education program, Ask.Screen.Know., to highlight the need for early diabetes screening and detection in light of the continuing escalation of diabetes prevalence. As an ambassador for the program, the award-winning actor currently appearing on CBS' show 'The Good Wife' and known for his roles as Detective Mike Logan on 'Law and Order' and Mr. Big on HBO's 'Sex and the City' will appear in a national public service announcement to encourage Americans ages 45 or older to get tested for diabetes and talk to a healthcare professional about the risk factors.

RIALTO CHATTER: Angela Lansbury to Star with James Earl Jones in THE BEST MAN on Broadway?

James Earl Jones, who most recently starred as Hoke Colburn, the chauffeur in Driving Miss Daisy will return to Broadway in the role of the feisty, folksy and wily ex- U.S. President Arthur Hockstader in GORE VIDAL'S THE BEST MAN coming to Broadway in the spring of 2012. Reported first by Variety, he revealed last night while being honored with the Monte Cristo Award at Bridgewaters-South Street Seaport that starring alongside him will be five-time Tony Winner Angela Lansbury making her return to the stage after most recently appearing as Madame Armfeldt in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.

Kiefer Sutherland Set for SLIGHT OF HAND Film

According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage and screen star Kiefer Sutherland is set to star in 'Slight of Hand' with Gerard Depardieu, Til Schweiger, Thomas Jane, Johnny Hallyday, Jon Lovitz and Eric Cantona. Filming for the movie begins in July.
