Music Director Emeritus Kurt Masur will conduct the New York Philharmonic in Schubert's Symphony in B minor, Unfinished, and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 13, Babi Yar, with baritone Serge Leiferkus, and the Men of the New York Choral Artists, Joseph Flummerfelt, director, on Thursday, October 27, 2011, 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 28, at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 29, at 8:00 p.m.

Soho Theatre Announces Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 Season

Artistic Director, Steve Marmion has announced the next season at Soho Theatre; with a vibrant and packed programme spanning Theatre, Comedy and Cabaret performed across three performane spaces (and the seminar room).

Works by Hunter Foster, Adam Gwon, et al. Featured in Signature's 2011-12 Season!

Signature Theatre's 22nd season kicks off by making musical theatre history with its American Musical Voices Project: Next Generation 'World Premiere Repertory Series' - the first time in the history of the American theatre that two world premiere musicals will be presented in rotating repertory, in full production. The eight-week series, beginning previews on August 23rd, will produce The Hollow (book by Hunter Foster; music and lyrics by Matt Conner), to be directed by Signature Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner; and The Boy Detective Fails (book by Joe Meno; music and lyrics by Adam Gwon), directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Associate Joe Calarco. Both musicals have been commissioned by Signature Theatre as part of its groundbreaking American Musical Voices Project: The Next Generation.

The New York Philharmonic will present Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking Company, with an all-star cast led by Neil Patrick Harris (Robert), on April 7-9, 2011. The award-winning musical will be produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and will be conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. It was revealed earlier today that the production is being filmed as well for a release in movie theaters this summer.

Signature Theatre Extends WALTER CRONKITE IS DEAD Through 12/26

Virginia's Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre today announced that, due to popular demand, the world premiere comedy, starring Helen Hayes Award winners Sherri L. Edelen (Signature's Sweeney Todd and Les Miserables) and Nancy Robinette, written and directed by Helen Hayes Awardee Joe Calarco (Signature's Side Show and Assassins), will now run from October 26 through December 26, 2010.
