St. Ann's Warehouse, building upon its rich history of partnerships with the UK's most exciting theaters and theater artists, is proud to join forces with the National Theatre and Headlong for the first time to present the American Premiere of Duncan MacMillan's People, Places & Things, a National Theatre / Headlong co-production, directed by Jeremy Herrin, which was one of last season's must-see shows on the West End. Denise Gough will reprise her Olivier Award-winning role as an actress whose life has spun recklessly out of control because of her addiction to alcohol and drugs.

The brilliant theatricality of Kneehigh, the innovative United Kingdom-based theater company, will be on display at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts once again when 946: The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips has its Los Angeles premiere.  Based on the beloved book by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo, 946 explores everything we thought we knew about the D-Day landings in this tender musical tale of love and war. Adapted by Morpurgo and Emma Rice, who also directs, 946 is a Kneehigh production presented in association with Birmingham Repertory and Berkeley Repertory Theatres. Performances begin February 9 with the opening on February 10.

Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce casting for 946: THE AMAZING STORY OF ADOLPHUS TIPS, co-adapted by Michael Morpurgo and Globe Artistic Director Emma Rice. After a critically acclaimed 2015 run at Kneehigh's Asylum, Emma Rice's family show will be brought to London for the first time, before embarking on a major international tour of the UK and US. It tells the story of the rehearsed D-Day landings in Devon's Slapton Sands, and stars Katy Owen as the heroine Lily, Mike Shepherd as her grandfather, Adam Sopp as the evacuee Barry, and Nandi Bhebhe and Ncuti Gatwa as American soldiers Harry and Adi.

Two brothers, Earl and Ray, travel to Bernalillo New Mexico upon the mysterious death of their estranged father, Henry. Over a bottle of bourbon and a box of old photographs, they try to reconcile their very different childhood memories. Earl's version of Henry's death doesn't add up; so Ray determines to find the truth.  As Ray plays detective we encounter Henry's bizarre collection of friends as the story of his last days is uncovered. Family tensions are blown apart as Ray discovers more than he'd bargained for…

Royal & Derngate's Made in Northampton 2015 season starts in April with the sweeping epic, Cyrano de Bergerac. Directed by Lorne Campbell, Anthony Burgess' translation of Edmund Rostand's classic play is a co-production with Northern Stage, and takes to the Royal stage in Northampton from Friday 3 April to Saturday 25 April, before transferring to Newcastle. RSC will tour FIRST ENCOUNTER: THE TAMING OF THE SHREW in Spring 2014 with Michael Fentiman directing associate artists Katy Stephens (as Petruchio) and Forbes Masson (as Katherine.) The tour begins 6 February 2014. Performances in Stratford, followed by UK tour playing in schools and theatres in Canterbury, Bradford, Blackpool, Leicester, London and Newcastle-under-Lyme, and a visit to Ohio State University. Charlotte Cornwell is set to return to the RSC after an absence of 32 years as Gertrude in the world premiere of David Farr's Hamlet at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
