Amy is curled up on the locker room floor. The Echo Theater Company presents the West Coast premiere of Dry Land, the riveting play by newcomer Ruby Rae Spiegel that has critics and audiences across the U.S. abuzz. Alana Dietze (A Small Fire) directs Connor Kelly-Eiding, Teagan Rose, Daniel Hagen, Ben Horwitz and Jenny Soofor an April 9 opening at the Echo's home base, Atwater Village Theatre.

HOW LOVE LASTS to Play Atwater Village Theater, 2/18-3/24

Writers Brooke Bishop and Daniel Landberg interviewed 52 couples in 20 states about their long-term relationships. How Love Lasts brings five of these couples' true stories to life, in their own words, on The Echo Theater Company stage at Atwater Village Theater. Performances take place every Thursday at 8 p.m. beginning February 18. 

Echo Theater Company to Stage World Premiere of BED, 2/6-3/13

Next up at the Echo Theater Company: the world premiere of Sheila Callaghan's newest play - a funny, sexy and unconventional romance with music. Jennifer Chambers directs Kate Morgan Chadwick, TW Leshner and Johnathan McClain in BED, opening Feb. 6 at Atwater Village Theatre.

Echo Theater Company Sets 2016 Season

The new season will feature the Los Angeles premiere of Dry Land by Susan Blackburn Prize finalist Ruby Rae Spiegel, and four world premieres by Los Angeles-based playwrights including BED by Sheila Callaghan; Captain of the Bible Quiz Team by Tom Jacobson; One of the Nice Ones by Erik Patterson; and Blueberry Toast by Mary Laws.

Echo Theater Company will stage the world premiere of Tommy Smith's GHOST LIGHT, directed by Chris Fields and starring Deborah Puette. Performances run Aug. 5 - 27 at Atwater Village Theatre (Wednesdays at 8 p.m.: Aug. 5, 12, 26 - dark Aug. 19) -(Thursday at 8 p.m.: Aug. 27.)

Australian Divas Celebrate Billie Holiday in LADIES SING THE BLUES Tonight

Seven of Australia's Diva's come together for a very special one-off event at The Sydney Opera House to pay tribute to the late Billie Holiday, otherwise known as 'Lady Day'. The concert Ladies Sing the Blues, will feature Lady Cool, Amanda Easton, Liza Ohlback, Lucinda Peters, Lindsay Drummond, Joy Yates and Dahlia Dior. 

InterACT Presents ALL AMERICAN GIRL, Now thru 7/26

Playwright Wendy Graf (No Word In Guyanese for Me) explores the journey of an 'all American girl' (Annika Marks and Jeanne Syquia, alternating) as she develops from innocent youth to radicalized extremist. Anita Khanzadian directs the world premiere of All American Girl for InterACT Theatre Company, opening tonight, July 3 at the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood.

Row After Row by Jessica Dickey (The Amish Project) opens on April 25 at 5 p.m., with A Small Fire by Obie Award-winner Adam Bock (The Drunken City, The Receptionist) opening that same evening at 8 p.m.

LA Drama Critics Circle Announces Winners - Annette Bening, Cicely Tyson and More!

On March 16, 2015, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle announced its winners and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura County theater in the year 2014. Announcements were made at a ceremony held at the Beyond the Stars Palace in Glendale, hosted by Dixie Longate (Dixie's Tupperware Party) with musical direction by Corey B. Hirsch (LADCC award winner for A Man of No Importance in 2014).
