Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) continues its fall season of monthly networking panels with Two Sides to the Producing Story: Commercial versus Not-for-Profit (Which Side Are You On?), tonight, October 17, 2012 at 7:30pm at The Players Theatre's Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre, 3rd floor, 115 MacDougal Street, NYC. Doors open at 7:00pm for networking and refreshments, panel starts promptly at 7:30pm.

Culture Project's THE EXONERATED Extends Through December 2

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, has announced a 4-week extension of the acclaimed 10th anniversary production of the hit award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. New block of tickets now on sale through December 2nd at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) where performances began September 15th.

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, welcomes Steve Earle (The Revolution Starts…Now, Grammy Award), John Forte (The Score, Grammy nominee), Kathryn Grody (Scapino), Marg Helgenberger ("CSI"), Christine Lahti (God of Carnage), Richard Masur (This is Fiction), Joe Morton (Raisin), Martin Short (The Goodbye Girl), Danton Stone (Ivan in Art), Frank Whaley ("Blue Bloods"), and exoneree Kerry Max Cook, whose story is shared in the play, to the rotating cast of the 10th anniversary production of the hit award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, now in performance at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) where performances began September 15th for a limited seven-week engagement through November 4th.

She had previously been on a schedule of seven performances per week, not performing the Wednesday evening shows.

Producers of the 2012 Tony Award Winner for Best Revival of a Musical, The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS, have announced that the show will conclude its limited engagement at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Sunday, September 23, 2012. The show, which had been twice extended, was originally scheduled to end a week later. The new date has been set to make room for the next engagement at the Rodgers, beginning October 4, 2012.

Producers of The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS, the 2012 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical, announced today that Audra McDonald has been ordered on a period of complete vocal rest by her doctor through the end of the month. As a result of performing with a respiratory infection last week, her vocal cords have become inflamed to a point where she cannot sing. She is scheduled to return to the production on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Producers of The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS just announced that thanks to a generous donation from the families of George and Ira Gershwin, 2,250 high school students from New York City Public Schools will be coming to see the show on Wednesday matinees from March through May. The event kicked off yesterday, March 13, with a special event that involved both cast members and teachers and city officials.
