QUARTET to Play Actors' NET, 10/25-11/10

Quartet, Ronald Harwood's comic drama about aging, retired opera singers tempted to perform together one more time promises to bring charm and humor to the Heritage Center stage during its Oct. 25 - Nov. 10 run.

QUARTET to Premiere 10/25 at Heritage Center Theatre

Ronald Harwood's acclaimed comic drama about four retired opera singers asked to come out of retirement to perform just one more time shines on the intimate Heritage Center stage in Morrisville. David Swartz of Ambler directs; the play stars (alphabetically) Cheryl Doyle of Morrisville as Cecily Robson, Ross Druker of Lafayette Hill as Reginald Paget, Doug Kline of Newtown as Wilfred Bond and Theresa Forsyth Swartz of Ambler as Jean Horton -- the artists who come to grips with the reality of skills diminishing as they age, but are determined to relive their days of glory. Stage managed by Matthew Cassidy of Morrisville. Assistant stage manager, Sanjay Sharma of Langhorne. Set design by Mr. Swartz. Lighting design by Andrena Wishnie of Morrisville. Costume design by Cheryl Doyle. Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Lionel Bart's classic Broadway musical Oliver! brings to exuberant life Charles Dickens' beloved characters from the novel Oliver Twist onstage in the intimate Heritage Center Theatre in Morrisville, PA. Co-Founder Joe Doyle of Morrisville directs the tale of an orphan boy who falls into the grip of Fagin, the conniving leader of a band of pickpocketing children.

Actors' NET of Bucks County Presents MOONLIGHT & MAGNOLIAS, 3/1-24

Actors' NET Co-Founder Joe Doyle directs a veteran cast in this comedy, as producer David O. Selznick, writer Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming totally rewrite the shooting script for Gone with the Wind over five frenetic days and nights - the men acting out all the parts as they go along! Steve Lobis of Morrisville co-stars as Selznick, alongside David Newhouse of Middletown as Hecht and David Swartz of Ambler as Fleming. Featuring Margaret DeAngelis of New Hope as Selznick's secretary, Miss Poppenghul. James Cordingley of Lawrenceville, NJ assistant directs. Vicky Czarnik of Levittown stage manages. So explained Actors' NET of Bucks County Artistic Director Cheryl Doyle in announcing the company's next offering at the intimate Heritage Center in Morrisville. Running tonight, January 18 - February 10, the Steven Dietz adaptation of the Bram Stoker classic The NET has unearthed has excited Ms. Doyle's enthusiasm.
