Chicago Children's Theatre Posts Fall Classes

Parents! Chicago Children's Theatre just posted its Fall 2017 line-up of performing arts classes for newborns to young teens, which is clearly growing into one of the deepest, most diverse rosters of arts education offerings for kids anywhere in Chicago.

FreeFall Theatre Company Expands Professional Staff

Freefall Theatre Company, one of Tampa Bay's most celebrated professional theaters, continues to grow with the addition of two new staff members. These new team members join freeFall's current staff led by Artistic Director Eric Davis and Executive Director Cheryl Forchilli. freeFall Theatre was founded in 2008 and established its permanent home at 6099 Central Avenue in 2011.

2017 TRU Producer Development & Mentorship Program Announced

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces that submissions are being accepted through August 25, 2017 for the 2017-18 Producer Development & Mentorship Program (PDMP). Created in collaboration with 4-time Tony winning producer Cheryl Wiesenfeld (The Heidi Chronicles, Rocky, All the Way, The Gershwin's Porgy & Bess, Vanya & Sonya & Masha & Spike, Elaine Stritch: At Liberty, The Exonerated), this monthly program runs one night a month from September through July, and offers ongoing support and education for producers at all levels of experience. The program is designed to offer a sophisticated but accessible range of information to educate and guide career producers, not-for-profit producers and self-producing artists. Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival presents MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING 8/15-27

The 2017 Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF) Professional Company will present Much Ado About Nothing from August 15-27 in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center's Patricia George Decio Theatre on campus at the University of Notre Dame. NDSF Ryan Producing Artistic Director has assembled a creative dream team for this year's production, including Director Drew Fracher, returning for a second season since his acclaimed production of The Winter's Tale in 2015.

San Francisco Early Music Society Announces 2017-18 Season

One of the nation's leading organizations for the advancement of early music, the San Francisco Early Music Society (SFEMS) has announced the program for its 2017-18 Concert Season featuring some of the most exciting early music practitioners here and abroad in seven wide-ranging programs. Spinning Tree Opens 7th Season with Intimate FINIAN'S RAINBOW

The 1947 musical fantasy FINIAN'S RAINBOW, with music by Burton Lane and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg, gets the Spinning Tree-tment September 1-17. The score, "one of the most enduringly delicious ever concocted for an American musical" (The New York Times), includes "Old Devil Moon," "How are things in Glocca Morra" and "Look to the Rainbow."
