NJTV Debuts New Agnes Varis NJTV Studio Tonight

NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, will air the first live broadcast of its weeknight news program, NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams from its new, state-of-the-art Agnes Varis NJTV Studio at 2 Gateway in Newark tonight

Renée Fleming to Star in THE MERRY WIDOW Directed by Susan Stroman on 'Great Performances at the Met', 6/19

Broadway director and choreographer Susan Stroman, whose many credits include the Tony Award-winning musicals Crazy for You, Contact, and The Producers, makes her Met debut with a lavish new staging of Lehár's effervescent operetta The Merry Widow. Star soprano Renée Flemingadds a beguiling new character to her wide-ranging Met repertory as Hanna, the widowed Pontevedrian millionairess.

Two River Theater to Premiere BE MORE CHILL

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, concludes its 2014/15 Season with Be More Chill, a new musical with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and book by Joe Tracz, based on the acclaimed 2004 novel by Ned Vizzini. The production is directed by Stephen Brackett, with orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, music direction by Nathan Dame, and choreography by Chase Brock. The production will run May 30-June 21, 2015, with the opening night on Friday, June 5. Tickets starting at $20 are available from 732.345.1400 or www.tworivertheater.org. New Documentary PS DANCE! to Air on THIRTEEN and More, 5/17

When talking about arts in schools, we usually think of visual arts like painting, photography or drawing. Following multiple sold out engagements, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band returns to the intimate Manhattan venue 54 Below on Monday May 18th to continue an official residence for 2015. Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham (Gentlemen's Guide..., The Heidi Chronichles), Janet Krupin (If/Then, Bring It On) Ciara Renee (Pippin, Big Fish) make their Broadway Big Band debuts, joing a starry list of performers. The 9:30 PM concert, helmed by director Max Friedman, also featurs returning guest vocalists Nick Blaemire (Found, Godspell), Tony Award Nominee Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange, The Book of Mormon), Jason Gotay (Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark, Bring It On), Julia Mattison (Godspell), and more to be announced! Friedman and Rosen co-produce.
