Clare Burt is today announced to star as 'Sandra Bloom' alongside the previously announced Kelsey Grammer as 'Edward Bloom' in a new production of John August and Andrew Lippa's BIG FISH THE MUSICAL.
FINDING NEVERLAND was born across the river in Cambridge at the American Repertory Theater three years ago, but has settled in for a fortnight in the downtown Boston Theater district. Under the direction of Diane Paulus, with choreography by Mia Michaels, the original design team remains intact, and an all-new cast brings the familiar characters to life. Broadway veterans Billy Harrigan Tighe, Lynnfield native Christine Dwyer, and John Davidson headline the multi-talented ensemble.

Seeing the origin story of one of your favorite childhood stories should be exhilarating, exciting, and uplifting, right? Unfortunately, the touring production of FINDING NEVERLAND playing at the Dr. Phillips Center this week is none of those things.
Going to see FINDING NEVERLAND for the first time didn't raise any specific expectations. Having heard a little bit about it over the years, there were a few things to consider. It was the story of J.M. Barrie and how he came to write the famed Peter Pan story many years ago. It was well received by audiences on Broadway but was snubbed by the Tony Awards. But, still going in with an open mind and desire to know what the story was all about, it was pleasantly surprising.
