BMCC Tribeca PAC 2017-2018 Season Announced

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, proudly presents a wide range of events in the 2017-2018 Season, including Robin Spielberg, performing on Saturday, November 4 at 8:00pm,  Andrew Nemr, performing on Friday, December 15 and Saturday, December 16 at 7:30pm, Go, Dog. Go! (for families) on Saturday, February 17 at 1:30pm,  Comedian John Fugelsang, performing Friday, March 16 at 8:00pm, The Motortown All-Stars performing Friday, March 23 at 8:00pm, and more!

RSO AT THE BEECHMAN Set for Today

RSO at the Beechman, featuring actors from Bridges of Madison County, Chaplin, and Jasper in Deadland, will be presented today, November 7th at 7 and 9:30 pm. The night will feature songs from the award winning composer's many shows, including 35mm, Jasper in Deadland, and We Foxes.

Prospect to Present Development Reading of F. Scott Fitzgerald Musical THE UNDERCLASSMAN, 11/25

Prospect Theater Company will present a private developmental reading of the original musical The Underclassman on Monday, November 25th at New 42nd Street Studios (229 West 42nd Street, NYC). The Underclassman follows the early life of F. Scott Fitzgerald, from 1914 - 1917. Brilliantly talented, Fitzgerald is swept into the hierarchy of Ivy League society and the antics of the Princeton Triangle Club, in pursuit of the beautiful and elusive debutante Ginevra King - who became the model for the character of Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby.

Marla Mindelle, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Lauren Pritchard and More Join THE MUSIC OF ZACK ZADEK; Full Line-Up Announced!

Broadway's Marla Mindelle (Sister Act, South Pacific), Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Passing Strange), Taylor Trensch (Matilda, Wicked), Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening, Universal/Island Records) and more will join up and coming musical theatre writer Zack Zadek in a concert of his music at Highline Ballroom on Monday November 11, at 8PM. Directed by Hunter Bird, the concert will be a mix of musical theatre, pop, dance, as well as selections from Zadek's full-length musicals 6 (New York Musical Theatre Festival 2012), and The Crazy Ones (NYMF Reading Series 2013).

Kat Edmonson Signs To Sony Masterworks Worldwide

Kat Edmonson has signed a worldwide deal with Sony Masterworks. The label will launch her album Way Down Low on the OKeh/Masterworks imprint, coinciding with dates this spring and summer in Europe.

Lookingglass Theatre's Board of Directors and Gala Committee announce one of Chicago's highly anticipated events of the season, the 2013 Lookingglass gglassquerade, which will celebrate 25 years of ensemble collaboration, transformation and invention. Host Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, will be presented with the Lookingglass Civic Engagement Award at the event. gglassquerade will be held tonight, March 2, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at The Four Seasons, 120 East Delaware Place in Chicago.

Kat Edmonson Announces First Headlining Tour

On Way Down Low, Edmonson makes her songwriting and production debut. She performs with noted fan Lyle Lovett on “Long Way Home,” which Entertainment Weekly calls “an airy country duet.” The album was recorded at the historic Avatar Studio and The Capitol Studios with Grammy-winning producer/engineer Al Schmitt (Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke) and features input from legendary producer Phil Ramone (Paul Simon, Billy Joel).

Pace New Musicals Announces I CAPTURE THE CASTLE and MAKE ME BAD Readings

Pace University's Pace New Musicals program, dedicated to the discovery of new theater works, and Ryan Scott Oliver, composer-lyricist and producer, will present a staged reading of I Capture the Castle by Marion Adler, Peter Foley and Cara Reichel January 23-27, and its inaugural New Musical Lab, a concert reading of Make Me Bad, by Drew Gasparini and Alex Brightman, which will be presented January 26-27.
