Tempe Little Theatre Announces 09-10 Season

Tempe Little Theatre, the city's only all-volunteer, not for profit, community theatre group celebrating 38 years in bringing quality, affordable theater to our community, has announced its 2009-2010 season. All performances will be at the Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W Rio Salado Parkway, at Tempe Town Lake, in the Studio.

The third annual GAYFEST NYC, the country's premier festival of new gay-themed plays, will be presented June 3-6, 2009 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street, New York City.
The not-for-profit GAYFEST NYC, Inc. develops new LGBT works for world stages and film and television production and provides in-school elective programs and scholarships for students of Harvey Milk High School. Since June 2007, GAYFEST NYC has presented seventeen scholarships to graduating seniors.

The James Tolin Memorial Fund presents its seventh annual benefit theater event with Paul Rudnick's comedy, 'The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.' The show comes to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, June 21 at 2 p.m.
Jay Goede Joins Cast Of LOOPED At Arena Stage 5/29-6/28

As playwright Matthew Lombardo continues to develop the upcoming Arena Stage production of Looped starring four-time Emmy Award-winning Valerie Harper (Rhoda on The Mary Tyler Moore Show) as Tallulah Bankhead, a casting change has taken place. Jay Goede, known for his work on Broadway in Angels in America, A Year with Frog and Toad and Sex and Longing, will now play opposite Harper in the pre-Broadway staging, directed by Rob Ruggiero at Arena Stage at the Lincoln Theatre May 29 through June 28, 2009.
