Davis, Viola, Creel & More Set for 'TalkOut Mondays' at THE TEMPERAMENTALS, 3/15

"TalkOut Mondays" (after performance) continues March 15th with Bill C Davis (playwright), Tom Viola (activist, BC/EFA) and Broadway Impact co-founders: Gavin Creel (star of "Hair"), Rory O'Malley & Jenny Kanelos at the critically acclaimed hit show "The Temperamentals" by Jon Marans at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Daryl Roth, Stacy Shane and Martian Entertainment are presenting the new American play. Thomas Jay Ryan (recently on Broadway "In The Next Room") portrays Harry Hay. Michael Urie (from TV's "Ugly Betty") is Rudi Gernreich. Arnie Burton (an original cast member of Broadway's "39 Steps") joins the cast in multiple roles. Rounding out the cast of five multiple talented actors are Matthew Schneck, and Sam Breslin Wright. The critically acclaimed hit show is directed by Jonathan Silverstein. The Set & Costume design is by Clint Ramos, lighting by Josh Bradford and Daniel Kluger is the sound designer. The play is nominated for a GLAAD Award for Outstanding New York Theater: Broadway & Off-Broadway. (2 hrs 10 mins including intermission)

Bill C. Davis is the author of "Mass Appeal," receiving the Outer Critic's Circle Award and later the screenplay that was chosen one of the ten best films for that year by The National Board of Review. Another play "Dancing in the End-Zone," starred Elaine Stritch. Some of his other Plays include "Avow," "Wrestlers," and "Spine". He is collaborating on an original musical, "Austin's Bridge." He also writes political essays and just completed his first novel, "Connecticut Wildlife." Tom Viola is the Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), one of the nation's leading industry-based not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. He was the founding administrative director of Equity Fights AIDS in 1988, saw through its merger with Broadway Cares in 1992 and has been Executive Director of BC/EFA since 1997. He co-wrote with Ms. Dewhurst and completed "Colleen Dewhurst: Her Autobiography" and is the co-author of "Broadway: Day & Night". Broadway Impact is a grassroots organization of Theatre community and its fans, mobilizing in support of marriage equality. Created after the passage of California's Proposition 8, by Gavin Creel, Rory O'Malley and Jenny Kanelos with the idea that the Broadway community needed and outlet to be actively involved in the equality movement on the ground.

Mattachine Society & was fired in 1957 as an astrophysicist for being gay. A public apology to Frank from the Obama administration was made this year in a public ceremony).; Tom Kirdahy (playwright); Jim McGreevey (former Governor of New Jersey, he was the first and, to date, the only openly gay state governor in United States history); Terrence McNally (award-winning playwright); Daryl Roth (producer 6 Pulitzer Prize winning plays); David Rothenberg (political activist, Fortune Society, WBAI Radio) * subject to change

Performances are: Monday; Thursday; Friday at 8:00 pm; Saturday at 2:00 pm & 8:00 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm & 7:00 pm. Ticket prices are: $65 and student tickets for $25 for the mezzanine.
