In partnership with the Audemars Piguet Art Commission, Times Square Arts presents artist Sun Xun's Time Spy on Times Square's electronic billboards from 11:57 p.m. to midnight every night in July. This project is a part of Midnight Moment, a monthly presentation by The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts. One of China's most prominent young artists, Sun Xun created Time Spy for the second Audemars Piguet Art Commission in partnership with Sean Kelly Gallery, Edouard Malingue Gallery and Shanghart Gallery as part of a large-scale immersive multimedia installation first presented during Art Basel in Miami Beach in December 2016.

Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), today announced programming for the 2017 Next Wave Festival. Robert Rauschenberg: Among Friends, a retrospective spanning the six-decade career of this defining figure of contemporary art, will be on view at The Museum of Modern Art from May 21 through September 17, 2017. Organized in collaboration with Tate Modern in London, this exhibition brings together over 250 works, integrating Rauschenberg's astonishing range of production across mediums including painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, sound works, and performance footage. To focus attention on the importance of creative dialogue and collaboration in Rauschenberg's work, MoMA's presentation is structured as an “open monograph”—as other artists, dancers, musicians, and writers came into Rauschenberg's creative life, their work enters the exhibition, mapping the exchange of ideas. These figures, among the most influential in American postwar culture, include Trisha Brown, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Sari Dienes, Morton Feldman, Jasper Johns, Billy Klüver, Paul Taylor, Jean Tinguely, David Tudor, Cy Twombly, Susan Weil, and many others.

A true legion of fans helps maintain the aura of the musical, in special exhibitions, meetings and happenings all over the world. Four decades after its launch, Charles Moeller & Claudio Botelho will present their Brazilian version at Teatro Porto Seguro.

United States Artists (USA) has announced the 2016 USA Fellowship Awards. This year, 46 artists across nine creative disciplines will receive unrestricted $50,000 cash awards. The awards honor their creative accomplishments and supports their ongoing artistic and professional development.
