Tatiana Maslany Cast in BBC America's ORPHAN BLACK

Toronto International Film Festival®(TIFF) breakout talent, Tatiana Maslany (Picture Day, The Vow), has been cast to star in the new original series Orphan Black, produced by Temple Street Productions for BBC AMERICA and Canadian cable channel, SPACE. The announcement was made as Maslany was feted for her starring role in the feature Picture Day, which made its world premiere at this year's festival. The Genie and Gemini-nominated actor, who received the 2010 Sundance special jury prize for Grown Up Movie Star, is capturing the increasing attention of fans and industry elite alike - including recent critical acclaim from The Globe and Mail, Toronto Sun, and NOW Magazine. Set to begin production in Toronto this October, additional casting for the 10 episode series will be announced soon.

The 2012 Do Something Awards honor 'the nation's best, young world-changers, 25 and under' for community service and were presented and taped on August 19, 2012, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. Among the nominees are GLEE and its stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, Evita's Ricky Martin (alongside Nicki Minaj in the style category), Death of a Salesman's Andrew Garfield, Broadway, movie and television star Neil Patrick Harris, and American Idol and American Idiot alumnus Adam Lambert. The ceremony will be broadcast tonight, August 21 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.

GPR Records will release a recording of Catherine Zeta-Jones narrating The Runaway Bunny, based on the best selling children's classic by Margaret Wise Brown. Also on the CD will be English Baritone Mark Stone singing Goodnight Moon and a special guest superstar narrating Poulenc's Babar, The Elephant. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Reid Carolin, screenwriter for the upcoming film MAGIC MIKE, is currently working on a 'spin-off' of the movie, which he plans to bring to Broadway as a new musical. Deadline.com has since noted that the musical is gunning for the Great White Way in the summer of 2013.
