Nominees for the 2012 LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards were announced Tuesday evening at the Renberg Theatre inside the Gay and Lesbian Center in Los Angeles. The 2012 Ovation Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, November 12, at the historic Los Angeles Theatre, 615 South Broadway, in downtown Los Angeles at 7:30 pm. Celebration Theatre today presents the third show of its 2011-2012 Season, THE COLOR PURPLE, book by Marsha Norman, music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis and Stephen Bray, musical direction by Gregory Nabours, choreography by Janet Roston and directed by Michael Matthews. THE COLOR PURPLE opened on Friday, March 9 and will perform through Saturday, May 26 at Celebration Theatre, 7051B Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood. Check out the opening night photos below!

Celebration Theatre will present a one night only benefit and readings in support of Celebration Theatre and its upcoming production of THE COLOR PURPLE.
