On Monday, November 16, 2009 two hundred and fifty people gathered at the Edison Ballroom to celebrate the 31 years of Arts Horizons. The evening was hosted by Lauren Glassberg of WABC-TV. Founded in 1978, by John Devol, Arts Horizons has presented programs to over seven million students, teachers and community members. Professional, dedicated teaching artists from Broadway, Lincoln Center and all over the world motivate young people through the arts to attain new heights of learning. The programs serve all populations PreK-12, with a special emphasis on at-risk students and those with special needs.

He will be joined by additional special guest Celeste Holm, Oscar winner for Gentleman's Agreement and Oscar nominee for All About Eve. The event will take place at The Edison Ballroom on Monday, November 16 from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.

Birdland presented the legendary jazz singer Marilyn Maye in 'Something Cool' for two shows only, Tuesday, July 28 at 8:30 & 11pm. The event was Maye's debut at the historic music room.
