Chicago actress, TV and film star Jane Lynch did the honor today of announcing the nominees for the 2013-2014 Equity Jeff Awards.

The Addams Family, the musical comedy based on the beloved Addams family cartoons created by Charles Addams, comes to life August 22, 2014 and runs through September 14, 2014 on the Lohrey Stage at Theatre Memphis. The frightfully funny and comically macabre show opens the 2014 -15 season for Theatre Memphis and features well known characters such as Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Lurch and Grandma. Director Cecelia Wingate returns to Theatre Memphis at the helm of the production having directed last season's Theatre Memphis hit, Young Frankenstein. She is supported by musical director Jeffrey Brewer and Choreographer Jay Rapp.

Young Frankenstein, the Mel Brooks stage adaptation of his movie parody, comes alive at Theatre Memphis on the Lohrey Stage October 11 - November 3, 2013. A wickedly inspired re-imaging of the Frankenstein legend, this musical version follows young Dr. Frankenstein, his odd and endearing helper, his gorgeous assistant and his madcap fiancee and a singing/dancing monster in a tuxedo. It is a funny monster mash-up perfect for high-energy entertainment.

The popular show Altar Boyz now playing through January 20, 2013, at Theatre Memphis in the Next Stage is adding a late night 11:30pm show tonight, January 19 to accommodate the show's popularity. The show, dubbed 'Midnight Mass' also will replace the previously scheduled show for January 17 which has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.

Playing August 19 - September 11, 2011, the plot surrounds Birdie being drafted into the army and Albert Peterson, his agent, and Albert's secretary, Rosie, concocting one final national publicity plan before Conrad's induction.

Theatre Memphis announces that the popularity of the Gershwin-inspired Crazy for You currently running on the Lohrey Stage has led to adding a performance at 7:30pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. According to Theatre Memphis Executive Producer Debbie Litch, 'The regular run of the show has limited available seating remaining so an additional performance will give more of the community an opportunity to see this amazing show.' The regular run of Crazy for You is Thursdays - Sundays through June 26, 2011.
