The sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! will have its star-studded gala premiere at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts tonight, 17 January 2019. The Gala Night audience will include invited VIPs, show sponsors and a host of local celebrities such as Stephen Chan, Cissy Wang, Ankie Beilke, Cecil Chao, Bianca Wu, Snowy Choi, Icy Wong, Janet Ma and Sabrina Leung.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has announced that the big and splashy Broadway hit Mamma Mia! is the long-awaited surprise show of its 2018/19 season!

Drury Lane Theatre announces casting for its production of the international megahit Mamma Mia!, with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bj rn Ulvaeus, some songs with Stig Anderson, and book by Catherine Johnson. Originally conceived by Judy Craymer, Mamma Mia! is directed by Artistic Director William Osetek and choreographed by Jane Lanier with music direction by Roberta Duchak. Mamma Mia! runs February 7 April 14, 2019, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m.

Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre is proud to present the Tony nominated musical Mamma Mia!  Music and Lyrics are by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus.  Some songs are with Stig Anderson. The Book is by Catherine Johnson.  The show was originally conceived by Judy Craymer.

There has been a proliferation of jukebox musicals in the past 2 decades. MAMA MIA far and away heads the list of successes. Using the guilty-pleasure pop catalog of ABBA, playwright Catherine Johnson spun a light-as-air family comedy. Somehow this show makes the songs sound like they were written specifically for the story. It's cumulus-cloud fluffy but also downright irresistible.

The Alexander Children's Theatre School (ACTS) is proud to be among the first theatre companies in the region to produce MAMMA MIA!, the long-running Broadway musical featuring the hit songs of ABBA. Performances are January 11 at 7:30 pm, January 12 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and January 13 at 2:00 pm at Cary Hall (1605 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA).

Thursday night's opening of MAMMA MIA! at Nebraska Wesleyan's McDonald Theatre was a party in the Greek Isles. The extremely enthusiastic crowd of mostly college aged people vociferously approved this romp through ABBA's memorable music. Chest booming laughter, screams, and hoots resounded through the house. In 2019, San Francisco's acclaimed Merola Opera Program will present the first opera commissioned in the Program's history, the world premiere of If I Were You, by distinguished American composer Jake Heggie and noted librettist Gene Scheer. This ground-breaking work will be presented August 1 - 6, 2019, at San Francisco's Herbst Theatre.
