The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open its 43rd theatre season with the hit Broadway musical Mamma Mia! directed by Rod A. Lansberry, on Friday, September 7, 2018. Mamma Mia! is based on the songs of ABBA, one of the most popular international pop groups of all time. It follows a young bride's quest to discover the true identity of her father and the story unfolds to hilarious consequence when she invites three men from her mother's past to her wedding. Since its premiere in 1999, it's been performed in over 40 countries, and every day, there are at least seven performances being staged somewhere in the world. 'Mamma Mia' brings touching ballads, tight harmonies and rocking dance numbers. The entire cast is beaming with much joy and pride in what they are doing up on stage. It's impressive production with vibrant energy. Audience erupts into cheers and applause during each of the chart topping hits by ABBA.
