The Gift Theatre Announces Cast of THE GRAPES OF WRATH

?The Gift Theatre, Chicago's most intimate Equity theater, presents John Steinbeck's Pulitzer Prize-winning tale, The Grapes of Wrath, centering on an American family forced off of their land during the Great Depression and their epic journey west to California. New ensemble member Erica Weiss (Vigils) returns to direct the extraordinary and emotionally wrenching The Grapes of Wrath, adapted by Frank Galati.  The Grapes of Wrath opens Thursday, June 23 at The Gift Theatre, 4802 N. Milwaukee Avenue. Press performance is on Monday, June 20 at 7:30pm.

The House Theatre of Chicago Stages THE REVEL, Beginning Tonight

The House Theatre of Chicago presents the The Revel at the Chopin Theatre Upstairs Theatre, 1543 W. Division St., tonight, Sept. 4 - Sunday, Oct. 25. The play was adapted by returning guest artist Damon Kiely, with music by Chicago composer Jess McIntosh, and will be directed and choreographed by Leslie Buxbaum Danzig of 500 Clown and dance-theatre company Lucky Plush Productions in her House Theatre debut. Previews begin tonight, Sept. 4 through Saturday, Sept.12 on Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30pm p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Press opening is Sunday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. Regular performances are Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Preview tickets are $15, regular run tickets range from $30 - $35, and $10 Student and Industry same-day discounted tickets available, based on availability. DePaul University to Stage Two World Premiere Productions

New work will take center stage this spring, as The Theatre School at DePaul University offers two world premiere productions in Lincoln Park to conclude the conservatory's 2014-15 season. Chicago playwright Laura Jacqmin's We're Going to Be Fine will feature the Master of Fine Arts in Acting candidates in the Class of 2015, and Theatre School student Jared Hecht (BFA Playwriting, Class of 2015) will debut his play Video Galaxy.

A Horse of A Different Color is proud to present the world premiere of Fairytales: Not Suitable for Children, created by Morgan Ashley Madison, at Emerald City Theatre Company's The Little Theatre, 2933 N. Southport Ave. in Chicago. The preview will be tonight, August 8 at 10:30pm. The opening is Saturday, August 9 at 8pm, and the show will run Todays at 10:30PM and Saturdays at 8PM with a special discounted Restaurant and Artist Industry night on Monday, August 18 at 10:30pm. The show runs from August 9-23.

The Fullerton Stage Theatre is a 250-seat thrust theatre located on the first floor of the school. John Guare's A FREE MAN OF COLOR is directed by Phyllis E. Griffin, premieres on Friday, January 31, and runs through Sunday, February 9, 2014. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are tonight, January 29 and the 30th, at 7:30 PM.
