Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will conclude its 15th Anniversary season with the world premiere of The Aliens, by Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation, Body Awareness). Directed by Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Rag and Bone), performances begin Wednesday, April 14th, 2010. Opening night is Thursday, April 22nd at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, May 23rd, 2010.

The Center REPertory Company in Walnut Creek, Califormia is presenting A Number by Caryl Churchill; it will be directed by Michael Butler and will star James Carpenter and Gabriel Marin. The show will play its final performance on February 7.

Mee's delightful, kaleidoscopic play, 'bobrauschenbergamerica'.  Director Bart DeLorenzo teams up with choreographer Ken Roht to dish up Mee's rollicking collage-montage tribute to Robert Rauschenberg that captures the happy, improvisational quality of the artist's singular vision. 'bobrauschenbergamerica' opens at [Inside] the Ford on January 23, with Pay-What-You-Can previews on January 21 and 22.

Political and sexual oppression are explored in a time-twisted structure: 100 years pass between acts set in British colonial Africa and modern London, with recurring characters aging a mere 25 years. The exhilarating world of CLOUD 9, where age, gender, race and sexuality are defined and re-defined features Ann-Marie MacDonald, Ben Carlson, Megan Follows, Yanna MacIntosh, Evan Buliung, David Jansen and Blair Williams and is directed by Alisa Palmer (Dora Mavor Moore Award for Top Girls).

Alley Theatre presents the world premiere of the new musical Wonderland about Alice, a children's book writer in Manhattan who is suffering through a creative block, estranged from her husband and alienated from her daughter. It takes a trip to a strange-yet-familiar Wonderland for her to regain her life's balance and again find the love and everyday magic that reside in us all - if we know how to look. With a book by Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy (The Civil War), lyrics by Jack Murphy, music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlett Pimpernel, The Civil War), and directed by Gregory Boyd, Wonderland begins previews Friday, January 15, opens officially Wednesday, January 20 and runs through Sunday, February 14.
