Different Stages Runs Agatha Christie’s SPIDER'S WEB Until 7/24

Different Stages runs Agatha Christie's SPIDER'S WEB through July 24th. The production opened on July 2nd and is being performed at the Vortex on 2307 Manor Road. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. There is an added performance on Wednesday, July 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets are Pick your Price: $15, $20, $25, and $30.

Les Waters Brings THE SMALL, By Berkeley Native to New York- Runs Thru 6/26

Today Les Waters, the associate artistic director of Berkeley Repertory Theatre, launches another new play in New York. As part of Clubbed Thumb's 2010 Summerworks Festival, the Obie Award-winning director is staging the world premiere of a comedy written by a Berkeley native: THE SMALL by Anne Washburn plays for only six performances at the Ohio Theatre in Soho from June 20 - 26. Waters previously directed the off-Broadway production of Washburn's Apparition.

Los Angeles's Antaeus Company to Present Double-Cast KING LEAR

The Antaeus Company, Los Angeles's classical theater ensemble, will open ClassicsFest 2010 with King Lear, its first full production of a Shakespeare play. Bart DeLorenzo will direct King Lear with renowned scholar, actor, and Antaeus founding artistic director Dakin Matthews and Broadway veteran/three-time Tony nominee Harry Groener heading two fully double-cast ensembles.

Low-priced previews will begin June 12.
