New York Theatre Workshop to Extend THREE PIANOS Thru 1/16/11

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that due to popular demand its acclaimed production of Three Pianos, written, arranged, and performed by Rick Burkhardt, Alec Duffy, and Dave Malloy, and directed by Rachel Chavkin, will extend one week through Sunday, January 16.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Three Pianos, written, arranged, and performed by Rick Burkhardt, Alec Duffy, and Dave Malloy, and directed by Rachel Chavkin, will begin performances Tuesday, December 7, at 7pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Sunday, December 19 at 7:00pm. The production runs through January 9, 2011.

The world premiere of Roald Dahl's Twisted Tales, based on the best loved author's renowned short stories for adults, opens at the Lyric Hammersmith for previews on 14 January 2011, with a press night on 24 January. Adapted by The League of Gentlemen's Jeremy Dyson and directed by the exciting young talent Polly Findlay, Roald Dahl's Twisted Tales will continue to Northern Stage and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse following its London run.

Royal Court Receives 11 Evening Standard Award Nominations, 11/28

London's Royal Court Theatre dominated the nominations for the 2010 Evening Standard Awards, receiving 11 nominations, the most of any London theatre. The Royal Court further cemented its reputation as the writers' theatre, claiming every nomination in both the Best Play and Most Promising Playwright categories. The nominations were spread between six different Royal Court productions.

Previews are on November 3 and November 4 at 7:30 PM.
