NBC announced today that Howard Stern, American radio personality, television host and author, will return as a judge for a second season on the top-rated summer alternative series AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, produced by FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell's SYCO Television.
From 8-11 p.m., an encore telecast of the 1946 movie classic 'It's a Wonderful Life' (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers) delivered NBC's top total-viewer result for a Saturday night so far this season and best for an in-season Saturday since January 21 ('Betty White's 90th Birthday' and encores of 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers' and 'SVU'). From its first half-hour to its sixth, 'It's a Wonderful Life' increased its 18-49 rating by 57 percent (to a 1.1 from a 0.7) and its overall viewership by 51 percent or 1.7 million persons (to 5.1 million from 3.4 million).
At 8 p.m. ET, 30 ROCK (1.3/4 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall) earned its highest 18-49 rating since October 11 and hit a season high in total viewers.
From 8-9 p.m. ET, 'Christmas In Rockefeller Center' (2.1/6 in 18-49, 9.1 million viewers overall) scored a four-year high in adults 18-49, delivering the annual special's highest rating since 2008 (2.2). Versus the 2011 telecast, 'Christmas In Rockefeller Center' is up 11 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.1 from a 1.9).
From 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET GO ON (2.5/6 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) jumped 19 percent week to week in 18-49 rating (to a 2.5 from a 2.1) and 6 percent in total viewers (6.334 million vs. 5.971 million) to score its highest results in both categories since October 9 (pending updates).
The results show tonight included some great performances, (including special guests: the Muppets) but also some ridiculously nerve-wracking moments, as the audience waited to see who America saved and which two would have to go home.

Three from Team CeeLo Green, two from Teams Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and only one from Team Christina all performed tonight in groups and individually, hoping to make it to the top six. They sang their hearts out, knowing that their journey could end this week.
