League of Professional Theatre Women Unveils Analysis of Women Working Off-Broadway

The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), as part of an initiative called Women Count, are pleased to present an analysis of women employed Off-Broadway in the four most recent theatrical seasons. A number of efforts to count, study, analyze and report on the status of women in theatre, in recent years, have focused on playwrights and directors. This new study looks at a broader range of professional roles with a specific focus on Off-Broadway productions.

New York Innovative Theatre Foundation Announces 2014 IT Awards Nominees

On Monday, July 21, 2014, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 10 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2014 nominees at its annual event. Celebrating ten years and thousands of nominees, the IT PARTY took place at XL Night Club, 512 West 42nd Street.

WHITE CHRISTMAS with Aled Jones & Tom Chambers to Play Dominion Theatre, Begin. 12 November

Aled Jones and Tom Chambers will be starring as Bob Wallace and Phil Davis in the West End premiere of Irving Berlin's much-loved musical WHITE CHRISTMAS, which will open at London's newly refurbished Dominion Theatre on Wednesday 12 November for a strictly limited eight-week season, ending on 3 January 2015 (previewing from 8 November).

The celebrated Tony-nominated costume designer Carrie Robbins (Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS, GREASE, OVER HERE!), who has designed over 30 Broadway productions, turns playwright this spring with the world-premiere of two one-act plays, SAWBONES and THE DIAMOND EATER, running tonight, May 21st through June 7th Off-Broadway at the HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Ave.) in NYC. Opening night is May 22nd.
