NEW YORK, July 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ Beginning July 2014, The Water Tank Project is encouraging New Yorkers to look up and be inspired by New York City's iconic water tanks wrapped in artwork by some of the world's best-known artists and influencers, to draw attention to the global water crisis.

The Utah Symphony is pleased to announce it has commissioned preeminent contemporary American composer Nico Muhly to write a piece of music for the Utah Symphony to be inspired by Southern Utah's national parks and landscapes. The commission will be performed during the 2015-16 season, coinciding with the 75th anniversary celebrations of the orchestra.

'Liminal Languages: Complexity and Emotion in Art' will be moderated by Natalee Cayton and Rotem Linial on June 15, 2014 at 3 pm at Hunter College, 205 Hudson Street Gallery (entrance on Canal between Hudson and Greenwich). This panel is presented in conjunction with the Spring 2014 MFA Thesis Exhibitions and hosted by the MFA Thesis Students in collaboration with the Hunter College Art Galleries.

The Public Theater announced an additional spring Public Forum, HOW WE TELL STORIES - AND WHY, on Monday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m. This one-night-only Public Forum event will feature Frank Rich sharing his insights on the ways that artists and journalists alike shape narratives, then joining writer Scott Z. Burns and director Steven Soderbergh for a conversation about the sometimes dangerous power of stories. This 90-minute event in the Newman Theater will be hosted by Public Forum Director Jeremy McCarter.
