Classes begin on Tuesday, January 14 (Newark, New Jersey- December 23, 2014) The New Jersey Performing Arts Center's Young Artist Institute, part of NJPAC's Center for Education, is currently accepting applications for its Spring semester of after-school classes, open to young people ages 10 to 18. Registration takes place NOW through Monday, January 5. Classes are offered in dance, acting, music theory/ear training, jazz, a piano lab, as well as the opportunity to learn how to sing in a chorus by joining the NJPAC Youth Chorus.

After more than thirty years, the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company is coming home. The Morris Museum is pleased to announce that the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company will perform at the Bickford Theatre on Sunday, October 26 at 2:00pm. A pre-concert reception will take place at 12:30pm.

DANCENOW presents the 2014 DANCENOW Joe's Pub Festival. Featuring works by forty choreographers and their companies, the 2014 festival will be held over four evenings from today, September 3 to 6, with an encore performance on September 13. The exciting lineup of artists features many fan favorites, including festival veterans and returning artists, alongside rising stars and festival newcomers. 2014 marks the 19th annual season of the DANCENOW Festival.

Super-charged Strictly Seattle performances feature six new works by some of Seattle's most celebrated choreographers: 2013 Stranger Genius awardee zoe | juniper, Pat Graney, Bennyroyce Royon, Jody Kuehner, Shannon Stewart, Rosa Vissers and Byron Carr at Broadway Performance Hall. To accommodate sold-out crowds Velocity has added a third performance-a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

Critically acclaimed choreographer and chuthis. Artistic Director Peter Chu returns to Vancouver for an artistic residency at The Cultch, July 2 to 12, 2014. Chu will begin creation on an original full-length work - a solo project inspired by Las Vegas lounge acts of the 1960's, which will enjoy its US premiere in Las Vegas in 2015.

Randy James' all male dance company, 10 Hairy Legs, appears at New York Live Arts tonight, June 26-28 at 7:30 pm and June 29 at 2:00 pm. Continuing the company's aggressive repertory expansion that explores the range of the male dancer, the four performances feature two programs with works by Julie Bour, David Dorfman and Dan Froot, Doug Elkins, Tiffany Mills, David Parker, Claire Porter and Randy James. Tickets are $20 for General Seating, $15 for students, seniors, artists, and New York Live Arts Members.

This year's artists include (in order of appearance) Ellen Robbins; ZviDance; Elisa Monte Dance, Bulglisi Dance Theatre and Jennifer Muller/The Works; and 10 Hairy Legs.
