Soaking WET Dance Series Returning to West End Theater, 2/4-7

The Soaking WET dance series, curated by David Parker and Jeff Kazin, returns to the West End Theater with two performances daily, February 4-7, showing all world premieres by choreographers Garnet Henderson and Kai Kleinbard (early shows), and the Barkin/Selissen Project (later performances).   The charming and friendly West End Theater is located on the 2nd floor of the Church at 263 West 86th Street (corner of 86th & West End).

NJPAC Dancemakers Host Diversity Panel Tonight

To herald its 2015-16 season of international dance, New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Dancemakers on Diversity: Sharing Common Ground in a Multicultural Art, a remarkable gathering and conversation with seven accomplished choreographers, tonight, Oct. 29 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in NJPAC's Chase Room. Admission is free.

PUSH Dance Company Launches PUSHfest 2015 Today

New and recent works by PUSH Dance Company and leading mid-career and emerging dance artists from the Bay Area and beyond will be featured during PUSHfest 2015, presented by PUSH Dance Company, a San Francisco-based contemporary dance company, founded by artistic Director Raissa Simpson. PUSHfestis a mixed-genre dance festival that showcases the work of  mid-career and emerging choreographers alongside the PUSH Company at San Francisco's ODC Theater (3153 17th Street) on September 18-20, 2015. Program A will be performed today, September 18, at 8pm and Sunday, September 20, at 4pm. Program B will be performed on Saturday, September 19, at 8pm and Sunday, September 20, at 7pm. www.pushdance.org/festival.

Inception to Exhibition Hosts Bryant Park Modern Dance Festival, Now thru 7/10

Inception to Exhibition (ITE), NYC's interdisciplinary arts organization fostering artist incubation, announces its second outdoor dance festival, Bryant Park Presents Modern Dance. Presented in collaboration with Bryant Park, twelve prestigious and celebrated modern dance companies will be presented on four Fridays, June 19 through July 10. The four-week festival has been curated to present a well-rounded view into the modern dance scene of New York.

Ariel Rivka Dance, Carolyn Dorfman Dance, Sean Curran, Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch, and Paul Dennis unite for the first time showcasing their respective, distinct styles through performances woven together by the themes of mysticism, time, and technology. Hip-Hop Institute, YASI, Second City and More Among NJPAC's Summer 2015 Programs for Young Artists

Getting To Know You! Meet the Full Cast of THE KING AND I, Opening Tonight on Broadway
