Animal lovers Caroline Rhea and Elayne Boosler have teamed up to benefit Noah's Animal House at The Shade Tree when they take the stage at “LIPSHTICK- The Perfect Shade of Standup” at The Venetian Las Vegas on Saturday, March 28. The two funny ladies will host a donation drive for new and gently used pet supplies for the organization, which is dedicated to protecting pets of domestic violence victims. Guests who bring donations to the Sands Showroom between Saturday, March 21 and Saturday, March 28 will receive 30% off tickets to Rhea and Boosler's co-headlining performance.
Tony Award-winning costume designer, JESS GOLDSTEIN (currently represented on Broadway with Jersey Boys and On the Town), and scenic designer DOUGLAS W. SCHMIDT are among the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, May 1, at 6:30pm, at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Goldstein was selected to receive the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Schmidt will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

Karen Carpenter, a producer, director and teacher, a theater-maker for more than 30 years, has been appointed the interim Artistic Director of the William Inge Center for the Arts and the 34th Annual William Inge Theatre Festival. The Inge Festival is the Official Theater Festival of the State of Kansas, hosted on the campus of Independence Community College, which houses the William Inge archives.
