San Diego REP to Welcome Return of THE PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE, 7/8

San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announces the return of Mona Golabek in 'The Pianist of Willesden Lane,' July 8-26, 2015 on the Lyceum Stage at San Diego REP. Set in Vienna in 1938 and in London during the Blitzkrieg, 'The Pianist of Willesden Lane' tells the true story of Lisa Jura, a young Jewish musician whose dreams are interrupted by the Nazi regime.

Broadway lovers (and haters) rejoice, because the funniest and bloodiest musical about what it takes to make a child a star is returning to Off-Broadway. RUTHLESS! is set to begin performances June 25th at St. Luke's Theatre in the heart of the Theater District, with the official Opening Night on Monday, July 13th. Book and lyrics are by Joel Paley and music by Marvin Laird. Joel Paley also directed the original production of RUTHLESS! as well as productions in L.A., South Beach and the record-breaking concert event starring Bernadette Peters. Westport Country Playhouse will stage 'And a Nightingale Sang,' a love story surrounding a working-class British family during World War II. Written by C. P. Taylor, and directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director, the play runs now through June 27. The title is based on the 1940s popular song, 'And a Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square,' which, among other music of the war years, is included in the play.
