The film 'Never Let Me Go' will open the 2010 BFI London Film Festival on October 13, NME reports. 'Never Let Me Go' is adopted from a novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, author of 'The Remains of the Day.'

The Toronto International Film Festival has announced fifteen galas and thirty-five special presentations (twenty-five of them world premieres) for this year's festival. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Daniel Craig has been signed to star in the film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and two possible sequels. The film will be written by Steve Zaillan and directed by David Fincher. The two sequels are titled 'The Girl Who Played with Fire' and 'The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.'
Production has begun on One Day, the feature film version of the internationally praised novel of the same name by David Nicholls, which this month enters The New York Times bestseller list. Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess star in the movie. One Day is a co-production in the unique partnership of Random House Inc.'s Random House Films division and Focus Features. The U.K.'s Film4 is co-financing.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 135 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. Those who accept the invitation will be the only additions in 2010 to the Academy's roster of voting members. Included in this year's list are Tony Award nominees James Gandolfini (GOD OF CARNAGE) and Anna Kendrick (HIGH SOCIETY), Drama Desk nominee Carey Mulligan (THE SEAGULL), director Adam Shankman ('Hairspray'), and musicians Bono & The Edge (SPIDERMAN: TURN OFF THE DARK).
According to Entertainment Weekly, Daniel Craig is in early talks to star in 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.' Sony, which is producing the upcoming film says there is no current offer being made, however Craig is scheduled to meet with Davis Fincher the director of the film sometime this week.

According to a report by BBC Radio 5 Live, Carey Mulligan is set to play Eliza Doolittle in the upcoming remake of My Fair Lady, written by Emma Thompson.
