As a part of its Hear the Dance program for the Winter 2015 season, the New York City Ballet presented two pieces featuring compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach. They were choreographed by the Company's most renowned choreographers, George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. With minimal set and costume designs, the evening allowed for music and dance to take flight, leaving the audience at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in awe as they watched Bach's music come to life in a pure dance experience.

Wednesday, May 28th, New York City Ballet presented a program bookended by Balanchine. Concerto Barocco articulated propriety and decorum in delicate glances; Jerome Robbin's Other Dances promulgated gentle desire in the pas de deux; Benjamin Millipied's Neverwhere delved into power plays; and Balanchine had the last laugh with the exuberant laissez-faire Who Cares?

Dance Against Cancer raised more than $200,000 for the American Cancer Society on Monday, May 5, 2014. Proceeds from the evening will benefit research initiatives and patient and family service programs. More than 500 guests attended the fourth annual Dance Against Cancer. VIP guests enjoyed cocktails, preferred seating, and a gift bag in addition to the performance and post-event reception. The performance featured new work by Brian Reeder created for American Ballet Theatre's Isabella Boylston with New York City Ballet's Chase Finlay and Amar Ramasar, Paul Taylor Dance Company in its first appearance at the benefit, Charles 'Lil Buck' Riley performed with students from National Dance Institute, and included the NYC premiere of Justin Peck's Sea Change. This year's 'regifted' production, conceived and directed by Phoenix Theatre Producing Director Bryan Fonseca, is truly the result of work-shopping Phoenix Xmas shows for the past four years and coming up with a 'greatest hits' selection of music, sketches, videos and dances from past shows.
