Photo Flash: Playwright William Nicholson and More Celebrate FPA's SHADOWLANDS Opening Off-Broadway

Fellowship for Performing Arts returns to New York for their third season with the first New York revival of William Nicholson's award-winning play SHADOWLANDS. The production opened last night, November 1st, at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row and will run through January 7, 2018. Shadowlands, the unlikely and true love story of renowned Oxford scholar and Christian apologist C.S. Lewis and the much younger Joy Davidman, a divorced Jewish New Yorker, former Communist and Christian convert, is playing now through January 7th at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row. Robin Abramson, who plays Joy, recently chatted with us about her experiences with the show so far, what challenges are presented by playing a real person, and one of her favorite audience reactions has been thus far.

Lantern Theater Company Presents the World Premiere of The Craftsman by Bruce Graham

Lantern Theater Company continues its 24th season with a world premiere production of The Craftsman by celebrated Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham. Commissioned and developed through the Lantern's New Works Initiative, Graham's new play spins a darkly ironic tale of ambition, genius, and deception. M. Craig Getting will direct a cast that includes Mary Lee Bednarek, Dan Hodge, Anthony Lawton, Brian McCann, Paul L. Nolan, and Ian Merrill Peakes. Theater critics and members of the press are invited to attend opening night on Wednesday, November 15 at 7 p.m. A full schedule is included in the fact sheet below.

A.D. Players, one of Houston's oldest and largest resident theater companies, is excited to present 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' as its final children's theater show for the year at the Jeannette and L.M. George Theater (George Theater). The popular story written by C.S. Lewis and dramatized by Joseph Robinette will run for matinee performances only through July 1.
