CMT Sets 2015 Original Documentary Lineup

Having successfully launched a standalone documentary unit last year, CMT today announced three forthcoming original documentaries premiering throughout the year: “Urban Cowboy: The Rise and Fall of Gilley's,” “Morgan Spurlock Presents Freedom! The Movie” and “Johnny Cash: American Rebel.” Early next year, CMT will release “American Bandit: The Birth of Southern Cool” and “Chicken People.”

New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography has shows on Sat. 6/6 at 9:30pm and Mon. A panel of nationally recognized judges, including Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award-winner, Rita Moreno; choreographer and Broadway dancer Michael Balderrama; director Michael Donovan; and producer, director and choreographer Andy Ferrara, announced the 2015 winners of The Rita Moreno California High School Musical Honors - formerly called The California High School Musical Honors - at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts. Sponsored by Children's Musical Theater San Jose and Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, this yearly regional awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre in the greater California region.

Florida Playwright Goes Off-Off-Broadway

Cynthia Morrison, of West Palm Beach Florida, is a graduate of the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre. This month she will travel to Manhattan, N.Y.where her short play, "Going Up?", will appear Off Off Broadway as part of "Take Back the Rom Com" evening of romantic comedies presented by NYC Playwrights group at the Jewel Box Theatre.
