Broadway lovers and teddy bear collectors came together on Sunday, February 15, at the BROADWAY BEARS XII auction, which raised a grand total of $152,116! The event was hosted by Bryan Batt with Lorna Kelly reprising her role as auctioneer. Forty specially made BROADWAY BEARS ? each dressed in original, handmade costumes representing the theater?s most legendary characters - were auctioned to the highest bidder in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Last year?s BROADWAY BEARS raised $130,878 and the grand total for all 12 Broadway Bears auctions is $1,644,077.18 with over 500 bears auctioned.

This will be its 35th presentation. This rarely performed comedy by George Bernard Shaw will be performed on Monday, FEBRUARY 16th, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South. Friends In Deed will present a legendary trio as Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka star in the first-ever New York presentation of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!. Bryan Batt, currently starring on Mad Men is featured in a fun and informative series of videos on the home improvement lifestyle website, MyHomeIdeas.com. Batt hosts two videos, 'Decorate Like A Mad Man' and 'Party Like A Mad Man', each is an informative and colorful segment that gives the viewer helpful hints in shaping up either your current home or social events. On Mad Men, Batt plays Salvatore Romano, a closeted, Italian-American art director among the macho and WASP-y advertising men.

Variety is reporting that the 'Mad Men' musical revue that played the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles last month as a benefit for the L.A. chapter of the Recording Academy will continue in some form with future dates being planned, but it is in the very early stages of development explains the trade paper.

The Casting Society of America has announced more New York celebrity presenters for this year's 24th Annual Artios Awards, honoring excellence in casting. As previously announced, Broadway veteran and comedienne Julie Halston will act as Mistress of Ceremonies, and producer Thomas Schumacher, President of Disney Theatrical Group, will receive the special ‘New York Apple Award' at the New York ceremony.
