Hennepin Theatre Trust and producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh announced today that single tickets for the long-awaited production of Mary Poppins will go on sale to the public Thursday, June 11, 2009.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's international award-winning musical, The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Harold Prince, returns to Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre May 13-June 7, 2009. Winner of seven 1988 Tony Awards including Best Musical, this captivating production is the longest-running show in Broadway history. Hennepin Theatre Trust welcomes the Cameron Mackintosh/Really Useful Theatre Company, Inc. production of The Phantom of the Opera as a special addition to its 2008/09 M&I Bank Broadway Across America-Minneapolis season

Diane Paulus grew up feeling bad she had missed the 1960s. By age 10, she knew all the songs in Hair by heart, including 'Sodomy.' Having never seen the show, she had an active fantasy life about what Hair must have been like when it was first created. Her vibrant and emotional work in bringing 'her' Hair to life earned her a 2009 Tony Award nomination for Best Direction of A Musical.

The new Broadway Cast Recording of the hit musical HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, featuring never-before-released tracks from the show's iconic score, will be available in stores beginning on Tuesday, June 23rd.

CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY has been proclaimed, 'The grandest circus spectacle east of Vegas' by New York Magazine. The current Broadway revival of HAIR is set to launch a national touring production during the 2010-11 season reports Variety.

During the week of April 27- May 1, 2009, top-rated morning program 'Live with Regis and Kelly' gave the show's nationwide TV audience a vicarious thrill when America's favorite co-hosts jumped into the roles of some of the best Broadway characters during 'On Broadway Week.'

PBS will air Spike Lee's film adaptation of PASSING STRANGE in 2010. The film recently had its New York premiere when it played the Tribeca Film festival. Passing Strange will air as part of PBS' 'Great Performances'.

MOVIN' OUT, the Tony Award-winning new musical conceived, choreographed and directed by Twyla Tharp and based on 24 classic songs by Billy Joel, comes back to Atlanta for a special engagement at The Fabulous Fox Theatre May 1 - 3, 2009, presented as a season special by Fidelity Investments Broadway Across America - Atlanta. The hippies once again took over The Ed SullivanTheatre, that landmark of television history, when the new Broadway cast of HAIR made its national television debut with a performance on CBS' 'The Late Show With David Letterman' yesterday, Thursday, April 30th.

A Bronx Tale, the funny and touching memoir written by and starring Academy Award-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri, will debut in Minneapolis at Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre June 2-7, 2009.

The luncheon also featured a sneak-preview of the 2009-2010 RRA-Broadway Across America Miami season, which will feature The Color Purple, October 27-November 1, 2009; 101 Dalmatians, December 30, 2009-January 3, 2010; Wicked, March 3-21, 2010; Mamma Mia!, March 30-April 4, 2010; and Spring Awakenings, May 11-16, 2010. In addition to these hit musicals, the season will also include The Walworth Farce (November 4-7, 2009) and a performance by Broadway icon Brian Stokes Mitchell (December 12, 2009).
