DORA THE EXPLORER LIVE Comes To Houston 7/10-12

Nickelodeon and Broadway Across America are teaming up to bring 'Dora the Explorer Live! Search for the City of Lost Toys,' starring the world's most famous Latina explorer, to Houston from July 10-12 for six performances at the Wortham Center (510 Preston). The last Dora 'Lost Toys' U.S. tour was seen by more than 1.2 million people during its 2003-2004 run. The 'Dora the Explorer Live!' shows have grossed more than $85 million in sales worldwide, traveled to more than 255 markets across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Southeast Asia and have been seen by 2.7 million kids and parents.

Carr PAC's GREASE Tickets Go On Sale 7/10, Show Opens 8/25

The new Broadway production of the Tony Award nominated musical GREASE, opens in Orlando at the Carr Performing Arts Centre on August 25 and runs through August 30, 2009. Tickets start at $37.00 and will go on sale on July 10, Friday at 10:00AM.

Florida Theatrical Association Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary 6/30

Florida Theatrical Association, the non-profit presenter of FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando, Broadway Across America - Ft. Lauderdale and Broadway Across America - Miami, will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on June 30, 2009. Florida Theatrical Association was originally founded on June 30, 1989 with the purpose of educating and developing new audiences and to encourage and preserve the presentation of touring Broadway.

TUTS Announces All Teen Cast Of 13, Runs 9/10 Thru 9/12

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), Houston's largest non-profit musical theatre company, announces the all teen cast of 13, a new musical comedy about coming of age, teen traumas and high school survival.

Cast Of 'HAIR' To Be Featured Guests On 'SIRIUS XM Live On Broadway'

'HAIR Week' On Broadway's exclusive look into the revival of HAIR, in celebration of the release of Ghostlight Records' New Broadway Cast Recording (in stores June 23), will also include special guest DJ sessions with members of the 'tribe.' Beginning Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26 at 9:00 am and 9:00 pm ET, the 'tribe' members will play music from the new cast album and share stories about what goes on behind the scenes at the Hirschfeld Theatre.

WEST SIDE STORY Star Matt Cavenaugh Featured in OUT

Broadway's GLORY DAYS Will Receive An Original Cast Album

Glory Days, the musical by Nick Blaemire and James Gardiner, will receive an original cast album over a year after it closed on Broadway. The album of Glory Days, which closed after its opening night performance, will be distributed by Friends of Ghostlight, an extension of Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records.

'RENT' at Seattle's Paramount Theatre

HAIR Sets Another House Record At Al Hirschfeld Theatre For Week Of 6/8-14

The producers of HAIR announced today that the new Broadway production, which opened March 31st to critical (and audience) acclaim, has once again set a house record at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). For the week of June 8 - 14, the week after winning the Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, HAIR's box office gross was $963,233, the highest for any eight-show week at the 1,400 seat theater, which opened in 1924 (and besting its own house record of 5/22 -- $934,229).
