Casting has been announced for the National Tour of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the Broadway musical inspired by the electrifying true story of four rock 'n' roll icons, which is entering its third smash year on the road. The tour will play over 75 cities this season including the State Theatre in Easton tonight, January 22nd.

Now that New Year's Eve celebrations are behind us, my favorite time of the theatre year is upon us. In late winter and early spring, theaters all around Houston start unveiling their upcoming seasons, in hopes of keeping current season subscribers and gaining new ones. Kicking off this annual season of unveiling is Gexa Energy's Broadway at the Hobby Center 2014-2015 Season announcement.

A musical about the struggles of a bipolar woman and the plight of two prisoners in a concentration camp during the Holocaust received the most nominations in the musical and play categories when the nominations were announced for the 38th Carbonell Awards, which honors excellence in theatre in South Florida.

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, returns to Heinz Hall in February 2014. Performances begin on Tuesday, February 11 and runs through Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Heinz Hall. MAMMA MIA! is a season special, part of the 2013-2014 PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh series presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Pittsburgh Symphony and Broadway Across America.

Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will go on sale Friday, January 24 at 9:00AM for the premiere Cincinnati engagement at the Aronoff Center.

Eiko & Koma return to ASU Gammage to present REGENERATION, a three-part retrospective looking at some of their most acclaimed and celebrated work. Eiko & Koma's performance focuses on the elemental, with works that transcend everyday notions of time and space. During REGENERATION they will perform their newest work; Raven, with live music by acclaimed Pueblo musician Robert Mirabal, along with two seminal early works, White Dance (1976) and Night Tide (1984).Tickets are on sale for the March 29, 7 p.m. performance at asugammage.com or at the ASU Gammage Box Office.

The stunning new production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita will make its Twin Cities premiere January 28-February 2, 2014 at the Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave.) in Minneapolis. This version features updated orchestrations, choreography and scenic design offering a more authentic portrait of Argentinean culture and Eva's rise to and fall from power. It is presented by Hennepin Theatre Trust as a part of its 2013-14 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces that the company of the first North American tour of WICKED is thrilled to welcome Tim Kazurinsky as the Wizard, Nick Adams as Fiyero and Jenny Florkowski as Nessarose on Tuesday, February 4 in Pittsburgh, PA. WICKED will return to the Benedum Center January 15 through February 9. WICKED is part of the 2013-2014 PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh series, presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Pittsburgh Symphony and Broadway Across America.

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to Pittsburgh's Benedum Center January 15 through February 9. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who wish to participate in the lottery must present themselves at the Box Office at Theater Square, 655 Penn Avenue, in downtown Pittsburgh. Participants will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

Producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg have just announced that Tony Award® winner Karen Ziemba (Contact, Curtains, Steel Pier) will play the role of "Eden Brent" in the world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, with Preston Truman Boyd, Bryn Dowling, Kelcy Griffin, Dan Horn, Synthia Link and Kevin Worley rounding out the complete Broadway cast of 29.

Northrop at the University of Minnesota presents Wayne McGregor | Random Dance on Tue, Jan 14 at 7:30 pm at the Orpheum Theatre.

The national tour of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, inspired by the electrifying true story of four rock 'n' roll icons: Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash, will make its premiere at Omaha's Orpheum Theater Tuesday, February 18, 2014. The show is part of the Omaha Performing Arts' Broadway Series and will run through Sunday, February 23, 2014.

The new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera set up in the Historic Orpheum Theatre of Minneapolis' Hennepin Theatre Trust for the premiere of the new tour in the U.S. after a hugely successful run in the U.K.

The national tour of the Broadway musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, inspired by the electrifying true story, will be performed January 17-18 at Mayo Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $39-69.

Individual tickets for all remaining FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando shows are on sale now. EVITA will play at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre March 25 - 30, 2014, followed by JERSEY BOYS for a limited two week engagement April 15 - 27, 2014, and GHOST THE MUSICAL, May 13 - 18, 2014.
