Tonight, April 8, Omaha premiere of the National Theatre of Great Britain's epic WAR HORSE, winner of five Tony Awards®, including best play, will feature a Family Night with specially priced tickets. Omaha Performing Arts will offer a limited number of tickets at 50% off for this Broadway touring production to introduce this'landmark theatrical event' to Omaha area young people.

The Bob Jolly Charitable Trust, established by the late Boston actor, has announced Boston actor Davron Monroe as the first recipient of the Bob Jolly Award. A $2,000 recognition, Bob Jolly created the Trust and the Award to recognize and encourage a local actor or actress who shared Jolly's commitment to the Boston theater community.

With the smooth style and graceful stride of a thoroughbred, Warhorse pranced onto the stage of the Music Hall in Kansas City on Tuesday April 1. From the Broadway Across America series Warhorse is based on a book by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Nick Stafford, and in association with Handspring Puppet Company.

Omaha Performing Arts' 2014/2015 Season will be a spectacular season of award-winning productions and performers. The upcoming season was announced during a subscriber and patron event at the Holland Performing Arts Center on March 31. Two of the iconic Rockettes helped kick off the night and led a dance demonstration for local youth in the lobby after the event. Cast members from the Broadway musical MOTOWN THE MUSICAL closed the event with a performance that featured a medley of Motown hits.

The Drama League has announced that the Emmy-nominated star of Modern Family and Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson will host the upcoming 80th Annual Drama League Awards. Considered one of the high points of the theater season, the Annual Awards Luncheon includes a nominees cocktail reception, luncheon ceremony, and awards presentation and that will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in the Broadway Ballroom (1535 Broadway) beginning at 11:30 a.m. Financier Patisserie, GenSpring Family Offices, and National Life Group are the 2014 Event Sponsors of the 80th Annual Drama League Awards.

On Monday night, March 31, at the 38th annual Carbonell Awards, when the statuettes were all handed out, the musical numbers had concluded and the audience had left the Broward Center for the Performing Arts to attend the after-party, two things could not be denied: South Florida is home to a rich, vibrant theatrical community packed with talent; and it was a good night to be Island City Stage.

Eiko & Koma return to ASU Gammage to present REGENERATION, a three-part retrospective looking at some of their most acclaimed and celebrated work. Eiko & Koma's performance focuses on the elemental, with works that transcend everyday notions of time and space. The Bromo Tower Arts District has elected Vincent M. Lancisi its new Board President. Lancisi, the Founding Artistic Director of Everyman Theatre, replaces Jeff Daniel, the Bromo Arts Founding Chair and Executive Vice President of Broadway Across America.

Unable to see AMERICAN IDIOT in New York City, I am so happy that the Third National Tour finally brought the show to Houston, TX. This lively, youthful cast owns every moment of this explosive and exhilarating AMERICAN IDIOT, and I can't imagine any other cast performing this rollicking, raucous piece as well as they do. Every human on the stage gives this show everything they can, and the end result is something I'll cherish for years to come.

ASU Gammage has announced its 2014/2015 Broadway Across America –Arizona season which marks the 50th Anniversary of ASU Gammage and in celebration ASU Gammage is bringing a season of the hottest shows on Broadway and the biggest blockbusters to ever grace our stage. The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, together with Florida Theatrical Association and Broadway Across America, has unveiled the lineup of shows for the Center's inaugural 2014-2015 Broadway season.
