Review Roundup: Bridget Everett's ROCK BOTTOM at the Public

The Public Theater presents the world premiere of Bridget Everett's ROCK BOTTOM at Joe's Pub, kicking off the 2014-15 downtown season at Astor Place. Created by Bridget Everett, Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz, and Matt Ray, and directed by Scott Wittman, ROCK BOTTOM was originally commissioned as part of the Joe's Pub 2013 New York Voices series. This shockingly funny and moving new show will run through Saturday, October 11 at Joe's Pub, with an official press opening tonight, September 17. Let's see what the critics had to say...

On Wednesday, December 18th, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Inc. (LDF) hosted a special fundraising event at 54 Below (254 W. 54th Street, NYC) as part of its 'Artists For Justice' initiative. Tony Award-Winning actress Tonya Pinkins, along with other celebrity guests, performed a cabaret concert to benefit LDF's mission. Tonya Pinkins to Host NAACP Cabaret Benefit at 54 Below, 12/18

On Wednesday, December 18th, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Inc. (LDF)will host a special fundraising event at 54 Below (254 W. 54th Street, NYC) as part of its 'Artists For Justice' initiative. Tony Award-Winning actress Tonya Pinkins along with other celebrity guests, will perform a cabaret concert to benefit LDF's mission. The concert will feature the music of Tony Award-Winner Rupert Holmes, with performances by Sebastian Arcelus, Stephanie J. Block, Chuck Cooper, Bridgett Everett, Rupert Holmes, Norm Lewis, Patrick Page, Tonya Pinkins, John Procaccino, Steff Reed, and Tijuana Ricks.

Last night, Tuesday March, 2, The Village Voice celebrated the 25 year commitment of columnist Michael Musto. The event was co-hosted by Joan Rivers and Michael Urie, and featured performances by Murray Hill, Dirty Martini, Bridgett Everett, Tommy Femia, Vodka Stinger, and Talulah DeBayous. DJ Dan Fortune supplied music for the evening.
