Audiences will be dancing in the aisles when Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) presents their original in-the-round production of the worldwide musical phenomenon, MAMMA MIA! for an extended 4 week run. Performances of MAMMA MIA! begins on Tuesday, August 7 and playing through Sunday, September 2, 2018.

The suspenseful feature documentary 'LOVE & BANANAS: An Elephant Story' will have its Global iTunes Exclusive Pre-release screening Wednesday July 18th at the Real D Theater, 100 N. Crescent, Beverly Hills. The film will kick off the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Kat Kramer's Films That Change The World and will roll out a series of films that highlight heroic women.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California announced today that CHIRLA will present the continuation of their "Immigration Art Night - A Celebration of Our Immigrant Heritage," (which begins Thursday June 21 at CHIRLA) on Friday, June 22 to kick off the final weekend of Bordertown Now performances.  The same evening, a post-performance talk will be held with multidisciplinary artists Xicanx Sun Cha and Gabriella Sanchez to discuss art as space and catalyst of identity exploration and experimentation curated by House of Arts and Ideas.

The American Shakespeare Center (ASC) began its 30th Anniversary Artistic Year with the launch of the 2018 Summer/Fall Season and a performance of As You Like It on June 13. The 2018 Summer/Fall Season will also feature a world-premiere adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma by Emma Whipday, Richard III, and George Etherege's The Man of Mode.

John Farmanesh-Bocca directs the world premiere of a bracing new version of Eduardo Machado's LYSISTRATA UNBOUND, starring Brenda Strong (Supergirl, 13 Reasons Why) as Lysistrata, in a collaboration between Odyssey Theatre Ensemble and Not Man Apart - Physical Theatre Ensemble. First presented at the Getty Villa as part of its 2013 Lab Series, it was inspired by American anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan's efforts for peace following the death of her son in Iraq. With unflinching intensity, it examines the insurmountable cost of war and one woman's epiphany in the face of personal tragedy.

Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 47th annual summer season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the hysterical ship-board comedy Rough Crossing, written by Tom Stoppard which he "freely adapted" from Ferenc Molnar's comedy Play At The Castle.
