Keen Co Season Celebrates Michael Frayn with ALPHABETICAL ORDER, 9/14-10/26

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company (Carl Forsman, Artistic Director/Wayne Kelton, Executive Director) today announced their 10th anniversary season celebrating the work of Michael Frayn, author of such acclaimed hits as Noises Off and Copenhagen. First will be the US premiere of Alphabetical Order, based on the revised version performed at the Hampstead Theater for their 2009 revival. Mr. Forsman will direct. This will be followed by the 25th Anniversary production of Benefactors this spring.

TIME STANDS STILL Begins Rehearsals Today

The cast of TIME STANDS STILL begin rehearsals today, Tuesday, September 7, in anticipation of performances resuming on Thursday, September 23. The play will open at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) on Thursday, October 7.

Laura Linney, who is returning to the Broadway stage this fall, resuming her Tony nominated role in TIME STANDS STILL, will appear on the Monday, September 6th episode of 'Live With Regis & Kelly.'

Julia Murney to join Houston Symphony, 9/4

Broadway star Julia Murney will be joining the Houston Symphony for a special concert series called 'Broadway Rocks!' on September 3, 4, and 5. Three additional vocalists will join Ms. Murney and will be announced at a later date. They will be backed by the Gay Men's Chorus of Houston to perform show stopping numbers from the latest generation of Broadway musicals like Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, RENT, and more.

There are three days I consider high holy days of the Broadway religion: The Tony Awards, the BC/EFA Broadway Flea Market, and Broadway on Broadway. The Tonys, of course, took place in June; but the other two events happen in September -- which means I'm getting ready for a month of celebrating and rejoicing along with thousands upon thousands of other Broadway fans.
