Broadway's "Les Miserables" alums Adam Jacobs and Ali Ewoldt; musical theater writer Sam Carner ("Unlock'd," "Island Song"); concert producers Elton Lugay and Jona Jane Tajonera; and members of the singing group Broadway Barkada met the press last Wednesday evening at The Ugly Kitchen in the East Village to talk about their concert "A Heart Full of Love," starring Jacobs and Ewoldt, at The Town Hall (123 W 43rd St.) next Saturday, February 23 at 8 p.m.

New York Theatre Barn will present a free private reading of the new musical Costs of Living November 7 and 8 in the Theatre District. Jose Llana (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Enrico Rodriguez (Zanna, Don't!, Rent) will star. Costs of Living, with book, music and lyrics by Timothy Huang, was a selection of Stephen Schwartz's 2012 ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop and a 2012 American Harmony Prize finalist.

The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA), under the artistic direction of Ben Donenberg, returns after 16 years to The Japanese Garden on the grounds of the VA West Los Angeles Healthcare Center Campus with a summer production of William Shakespeare's romantic comedy "As You Like It," directed by Royal Shakespeare Company artist Kenn Sabberton, now through July 29. National Asian Artists Project presents a fully staged reading of Rodgers and Hammerstein's CAROUSEL tonight, June 4th at 7:30pm. This one-night only benefit takes place at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street at 9th Ave in New York City. Directed by Baayork Lee (Broadway's A Chorus Line), the performance features an all Asian-American cast of professionals.

Broadway Barkada, a group of New York-based Filipino actors, singers, and dancers who've been performing on various Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, will hold a fundraiser via a pre-valentine concert titled "So This Is Love: An Evening of Love Songs" at Trump Place (220 Riverside Boulevard) on Friday, February 10, 8 p.m. Proceeds will be used for the three-year-old organization's upcoming projects.
