Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta has announced the First National Tour of AIN’T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS, the new Broadway smash hit musical that will play in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre March 8-13, 2022 as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 40th anniversary season.
After a week of public performances at Durham Performing Arts Center, the tour will officially launch at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. this December, before continuing to 50+ cities across North America, including a homecoming to The Temptations roots in Detroit.
The event will feature performances by Broadway's Amber Iman, Tony Award winner Gavin Creel, Sasha Allen, Jo Lampert, Obie Award winner Whitney White, Hoofer Award winner Ayodele Casel, and more.
NY PopsUp will present an array of performances this weekend from Brooklyn to upstate New York. Performances include the fourth in a series of Jazz Clubs curated by Artist Council Member Cécile McLorin Salvant at a park in Brooklyn; and “The Boogie Get Down,” a dance day in the Bronx curated by Artist Council Member Ayodele Casel.

The minute the curtain was raised and a familiar tune of the Four Tops reached my ears, I knew that both the audience and I were going to be dancing in our seats all night. Throughout the evening, the audience was serenaded with many hits such as the sweet sound of The Temptations singing 'My Girl' and the classic song 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours' by the incredible Stevie Wonder. There was not one moment in the show that I did not absolutely adore.
