On Saturday, July 11th, Broadway performers from The Little Mermaid, Billy Eilliot, Mamma Mia!, and Bye Bye Birdie Celebrated Canada Day, which is on July 1st. They joined Robert Creighton and Friends for the 5th Annual Canadian Day Party at THE IRISH ROGUE (356 W 44th Street).

On Monday, May 11, 2009, the Lower Eastside Service Center held its 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner and Silent Auction at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City, hosted by Melissa Russo, WNBC Anchor and Government Affairs Reporter. LESC proudly honored three distinguished citizens for their commitment of service.

Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D is thrilled to welcome Bret Shuford and Emily McNamara January 27th. Bret Shuford can currently be seen on Broadway in Disney's The Little Mermaid( Prince Eric understudy). Mr. Shufords other Broadway credits included Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Beauty and the Beast. Bret has appeared in several Actors Fund benefit performances including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Emily McNamara created the role of 'Inga' in the Off-Broadway hit The Awesome 80's Prom. She has also appeared in My First Time at New World Stages. The popular comedian/singer/actress was the winner of 'XL Star' and has appeared in Broadway Loves the 80's at Joe's Pub. Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D is described as an evening of music, games and comedy featuring a new Broadway guest each week. It is hosted by actor Ben Cameron (Aida, Footloose, Wicked). The weekly show takes place Tuesday evenings at midtown nightclub Therapy (348 west 52nd street) at 11 pm. There is no cover charge for this event. Attendess must be 21 or over with proper id. Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys and Understudies with its next edition of At This Performance…™ to be held on Sunday, April 20th and Monday, April 21st at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre, 2162 Broadway, (above the Promenade Theatre- Broadway at 76th Street), 3rd Floor at 8 PM.

On January 26, 'Saturday Night Underground' with Ben Rimalower welcomed an array of New York talent, including: Anthony Rapp, Andrew Singer and Bret Shuford.

Tonight Friday January 25 at 10:30PM, 'The After Party' is thrilled to welcome back Brandon and Ray! Also, Bret Shuford of The Little Mermaid, Johnny Niagra and Pepper Cole of Cashino and Hole-O-Matic's Karen Mack and Michael Holland. 'The After Party' is hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, featuring Lisa Asher and Ray Fellman at the piano, and held at The Laurie Beechman Theatre inside the West Bank Café (407 West 42nd Street). Admission is free!

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is pleased to announce the return of the new talk/variety evening, Saturday Night Underground on January 26. The evening will be a casual variety show, featuring interviews and performances from some of New York's most intriguing personalities. And the fun doesn't stop there, audience members are encouraged to get up on stage and sing a song or tell a joke, recommend a great restaurant or complain about a bad date.
