AIP Hosts 12th Annual Cabaret Festival, Now thru 5/18

Artists in Partnership (AIP), a non-profit cultural arts organization, will host its 12th Annual Cabaret Festival today, May 15-18 at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY. All performances are FREE to the public. The festival will be a celebration of the cabaret genre honoring the Great American Songbook with performances by renowned local and New York City-based artists.

Lorna Luft, Lillias White, Tony Yazbeck & More set for 92Y's Lyrics & Lyricists, 5/31-6/2

Even the legendary Broadway gods and goddesses have come face to face with failure. On May 31, June 1, and 2, Lyrics & Lyricists pays tribute to musical theater's most thoroughly panned musical bullion as artistic director and Tony Award-winning lyricist and director David Zippel closes the season with Panning for Gold: Great Songs from Flop Shows. Bianca Marroquin Returns to Broadway's CHICAGO Next Week

Latina superstar Bianca Marroquin returns to Broadway's Chicago as Roxie Hart beginning Monday, March 31. She is also the newly-crowned National Ambassador for the Broadway industry's new Viva Broadway initiative. Bebe Neuwirth Plays Final Performance in Broadway's CHICAGO this Weekend; Roz Ryan Will Return, 3/10

This week, two-time Tony and Emmy Award winner Bebe Neuwirth will play her final eight performances as Matron 'Mama' Morton in Broadway's record-breaking smash-hit musical Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.) Neuwirth, who won a 1997 Tony Award for her acclaimed portrayal of jazz-age killer Velma Kelly and returned ten years later as merry murderess Roxie Hart, concludes her history-making eight-week engagement as Matron 'Mama' Morton -- her third starring role in the production's 18-year run -- on Sunday, March 9. Beginning Monday, March 10, one of the Chicago family's most celebrated performers, stage and screen veteran Roz Ryan, returns to the role of Matron 'Mama' Morton.

Kristin Chenoweth and Edgerton Foundation to Be Honored at NCTF 2014 Chairman's Awards Gala, 3/31

On March 31st at New York City's Pierre Hotel, the National Corporate Theatre Fund (NCTF) will honor Tony and Emmy Award Winning singer and actress Kristin Chenoweth, and the Edgerton Foundation for their leadership in the arts at the NCTF 2014 Chairman's Awards Gala. The evening will be chaired by Chairman James S. Turley, Cisco Systems, Inc, Wells Fargo/Joseph F. Kirk and world-renowned playwright David Henry Hwang.

2014 sees some new names and some returns to The Crazy Coqs.
