Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present a workshop of the Richard Rodgers Award-winning musical See Rock City & Other Destinations, music by Brad Alexander, book and lyrics by Adam Mathias, June 6 - 13 at The New 42nd Street Studios. The workshop, which is directed by Transport Group artistic director Jack Cummings III, is being presented for an invited audience.

The BMI Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the publication of 'The BMI Workshop Songbook,' a piano/vocal folio featuring 20 new, never-before released songs written by members and alumni of the Tony-honored BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, including Robert Lopez (Avenue Q), Maury Yeston (Nine), Tom Kitt (Next To Normal), Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant), and many more. The songs were chosen for their appeal and usefulness for singers searching for fresh audition, cabaret, and concert material. The Tony® Honored BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop announces its Spring Smoker, a semi-annual showcase for new songs from Workshop writers. The event will be held in the Media Room of BMI's New York office at 320 West 57th Street on Thursday, April 30 5:30PM and is open to members of the entertainment industry as well as Workshop members. Several great performers have joined the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals on October 20 & 21 at New World Stages and more have been added to the benefit concert A Toast for 20! on October 19th at COMIX.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the directors and casts for the eight musicals being presented at its 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Also, announced were the line-up for this year's Songwriter Showcase happening during the Festival.

BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop announces the biannual Showcase of new songs from Workshop writers.

NEO 4, the fourth in a series of annual benefit concerts celebrating emerging musical theatre writers took place on Monday May 19th, 2008 at the Theatre at Saint Peter's, 619 Lexington Avenue (on 54th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues).

The Leading Men III concert was performed on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 7:00pm to a sold out audience, as part of the long-running concert series Broadway at Birdland. The concert was a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
