26 Classic Films Coming to DVD From MGM’s Limited Edition Collection

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is bringing more classics to DVD in May through the unique 'manufacturing on demand' ('MOD'). The newest selection of available films is a part of MGM's Limited Edition Collection and available through major online retailers. The sixth installment of releases ranges from 1938's Mr. Wong, Detective starring Boris Karloff to 1992's Laws of Gravity with Edie Falco.

The Guthrie Theater will present Arsenic and Old Lace, Joseph Kesselring's classic comedy that kills with kindness. As previously announced, the incomparable Sally Wingert returns to the Guthrie stage for the first time since last season's Faith Healer, joining acclaimed comedienne and Broadway veteran Kristine Nielsen to play the pair of well-meaning sisters, Martha and Abby Brewster, respectively. The production, which marks the 70th anniversary of a play The New York Times called 'so funny that none of us will ever forget it,' will be directed by Joe Dowling and presented at the Guthrie for the first time since 1975

Sheldon Art Galleries in Collaboration with Cinema St. Louis Presents VINCENTENNIAL: THE LEGACY OF VINCENT PRICE 4/22-8/6

In collaboration with Cinema St. Louis, the Sheldon Art Galleries presents the exhibition Vincentennial: The Legacy of Vincent Price from April 22 - August 6, 2011. A free opening reception at the Sheldon Art Galleries will be held on Friday, April 22, from 6 - 8 p.m. Cinema St. Louis will hold a Vincentennial film festival from May 19 - May 28, 2011. The standing room only crowd included representatives of stage, film and TV with Julie Newmar, Fred Willard, Rip Taylor, Thao Penghlis, John Glover, Don Swayze, Ned VanZandt, Larry Pressman, as well as Ana Strasberg and John Barrymore, Jr. The evening's festivities included a birthday celebration for the opening's hostess, Doris Roberts.
