The festival has brought the latest Hollywood hits and Indie favorites to the Gold Coast of Long Island. Add A-list celebrities and unforgettable events to the mix and GCIFF has become the 'go to' Festival for film buffs and it is the last major film festival on the East Coast before Awards season.

Yesterday, April 18, the Renaissance Hotel was host to the 'Live Below the Line' charity benefit for global poverty in London. Hugh Jackman, Bonnie Wright, among others partook in the event. Founded by Australians, The Global Poverty Project's vision is a world without extreme poverty within a generation. The organization works to increase the number and effectiveness of people taking action to end extreme poverty. They have developed 1.4 Billion Reasons - a simple yet ground-breaking presentation, that is travelling the world, inspiring and empowering audiences in its path.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final of the Harry Potter novels written by J. K. Rowling. The book was released on 21 July 2007, ending the series that began in 1997 with the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. This book chronicles the events directly following Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005), and leads to the long-awaited final confrontation between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort.
