The next Waitress London Cast Album Karaoke Night has been confirmed for Wednesday July 17th. Audience members who want to take part just need to sign up before that evening's show for the chance to sing one minute of any song from Waitress - live on stage at the Adelphi and accompanied by the show's musical director Katharine Woolley. Hosts and further details about the event will be announced in due course.

Waitress today announces a new pie partnership with London bakery Bread Ahead which will be making and selling the show's famous fresh pies each night in association with the original creators, Cute As Cake of New York. Bread Ahead, well known for its Borough Market, Chelsea and Soho bakeries, will be making the delicious Waitress pie jars in apple crumble, chocolate salted caramel and lemon raspberry flavours which will be available to audience members at the Adelphi Theatre. The Waitress pie jars were originally created by Cute As Cake (@cuteascakenyc) for the New York production currently in its 3rd year on Broadway. www.cuteascake.com

It is announced today that British television star Blake Harrison, best known for playing Neil Sutherland in the BAFTA-winning E4 comedy The Inbetweeners, will join the cast of Waitress as Ogie from 17 June. He will take over the role from Jack McBrayer, as previously seen as Kenneth in NBC's 30 Rock, who will mark his final performance on Saturday 15 June.

NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) celebrates Britweek with independent cinema on April 28th with a selection of films from the United Kingdom, along with local Los Angeles films. Five filmmakers from the United Kingdom, Polly Steele, Blake Harrison, Simon Ryninks and Garry Crystal will be joining NFMLA for the event, with flights generously provided by Norwegian Airlines. The night begins with UK feature film Let Me Go by Polly Steele, an intergenerational story about the unraveling of a family secret and its emotional impact on three mothers and three daughters. Second is InFocus: Britweek, a collection of short films from by UK filmmakers that include stories of love, family strife, foreboding and the search for human connection, featuring the world premiere of Blake Harrison's (The Inbetweeners) directorial debut. The night concludes with a narrative shorts program highlighting local Los Angeles talent and prominently features themes of finding, losing and letting go.
