Over her storied career, Twyla Tharp has created over 160 dances across genres, choreographed for film (from Miloš Forman to James Brooks) and Broadway (with music ranging from Billy Joel to Bob Dylan). She's received a Tony Award, 19 honorary doctorates, a MacArthur Fellowship, among other honors (see below).

Broadway star Michal Cavanaugh, of Movin' Out fame, joins the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra for a program of hits from Elton John and other classic rock legends, November 12-13 in Newark and New Brunswick. Cavanaugh performs Elton John hits like "Tiny Dancer," "Bennie and the Jets" and "Rocket Man," as well as classics like "Live and Let Die" and "Pinball Wizard," in a high-energy show led by frequent NJSO guest conductor and audience favorite Thomas Wilkins.

Cortland Rep Announces Upcoming Fall Events

Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing upcoming events for the fall months, most to be held at "CRT Downtown" located at 24 Port Watson Street in historic downtown Cortland. "This is our second year-round season, and we're planning more events than last year, with a wide variety to appeal to all tastes," Producing Artistic Director Kerby Thompson says. BROADWAY SINGS BEYONCE Sets Cast for 11/7

The BROADWAY SINGS concert series will present its 13th installment with Broadway Sings Beyonce at the Highline Ballroom on November 7th at 8pm. A cast of 15 Broadway stars from shows such as Hamilton, Spring Awakening, and Waitress will sing completely new arrangements of the pop queen's greatest hits (including selections from her recent Lemonade album), accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations. Previous artists honored in the series include Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Sara Bareilles, Billy Joel, and Whitney Houston.
